Wait a minute Lets go back to infanthood. And then, if that doesn't move you - lets jump to Teenager! The Big “T” for Teen. Did anyone bother to tell you that you'd be totally blinded and walking a tight rope most of the time with your hands behind your back? Did they tell you that shortly before coming out of the womb your infant could talk. I bet he was saying to himself, boy I sure would like to get out of here, I’m ready to go.
My time’s gotta be up, I’m getting too big for this joint. And, “this place is getting too small. It’s like a sauna in here. When they gonna create a door”. And in 2 days, out of nowhere, your baby is faced with the hurricane of childbirth, and says, “ouch, you’re squeezing me, that hurts.
I got feelings too. Why you just pushing me out, if somebody would show me the door, I’m sure I could walk out on my own.” “When I turn 2, I’ll show you!!!”
Did anyone tell you about the toddler, everything is brand new to them and they need to smell it, touch it, and see everything. This is the normal discovery exercise for them. This is how they discover earth. But for you it is utter chaos, as your cell phone keeps ending up in the toilet, your drinks keep getting turned over, they cannot tell you why they won’t stop crying, all the toilet tissue is in the floor and they dont know how to use the bathroom. Parent, Your life is completely upside down, but manageable.
Then, LAST BUT NOT LEAST, they become a teenager.
Oh boy it’s on now!
Because Parent, even though you have finished high school, probably college, and a few other life experiences, Mom n dad, your teenager will tell you, “I don’t need you to tell me anything. I know what I’m doing.”
As a matter of fact, Parents, face it, at this point even though you have put all this time in and have all this earth knowledge, you don’t know anything!
